There’s a new face joining the Made in Group team, and we’re delighted to introduce Ellie Pettigrew.
Ellie has joined us after spending the last five years working within the manufacturing sector, beginning her career in social media and building up a strong understanding of the people, businesses and stories that make UK manufacturing what it is.
Now, she’s taking that experience into a new chapter with Made in Group, working across both Made in Yorkshire and Made in the Midlands.
Well, quite a lot.
A big part of Ellie’s role will be getting to know the people who make up our networks, supporting our members and helping them get as much as possible from being part of Made in Group.
She’ll also be getting stuck into the events we run throughout the year, helping bring manufacturers together, supporting our existing community and making sure there are plenty of opportunities for people to connect, share ideas and do business.
And, of course, Ellie will be helping us continue to grow the network and introduce more manufacturers to the community.
Having spent much of her manufacturing career on the social media side, Ellie has spent plenty of time telling the stories of manufacturing businesses.
Now she gets to see those businesses for herself.
She’s keen to get out into factories across Yorkshire and the Midlands, meet the people behind the businesses, see what they’re producing and understand what matters to them.
Because you can learn a lot about manufacturing from a screen.
But you learn a whole lot more when you’re standing on the factory floor, talking to the people who actually make it happen.
We think Ellie’s background gives her an interesting perspective to bring to the Made in Group community.
She understands the importance of telling the story of a manufacturing business, but she’s now looking forward to getting much closer to the people, challenges and opportunities behind those stories.
And that’s something we’re really looking forward to seeing develop.
Whether you’re already part of Made in Yorkshire or Made in the Midlands, or you’re a manufacturer we haven’t met yet, Ellie will be one of the friendly faces you’ll be getting to know over the coming months.
She’s looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible, supporting the events and activities we run, and helping strengthen the community across both regions.
So, if Ellie gets in touch, give her a warm welcome.
Welcome to Made in Group, Ellie. We’re very pleased to have you with us.
